Continuationist.org endeavors to promote the reformed Christian doctrine of Continuationsism by providing relevant theological and biblical resources to enhance your study.

The doctrine of continuationism can be defined as follows:

All the gifts of the Spirit listed in the New Testament are available for the church today and should be earnestly desired and exercised for the edification of the church and the advance of the gospel.

Trinity Fellowship Confession of Faith - The Empowering Holy Spirit 10.7

Our resources are provided for the purpose of examining the biblical reality of the “Spiritual Gifts.” Resources will also include practical applications related to the doctrine of Continuationism in everyday ministry and life of the Christian and the Church.

As Christians, we have the responsibility to pursue truth and to know God. Therefore, we earnestly and graciously endeavor to promote and educate others about the biblical doctrine of Continuationism.

We contend for, and uphold, the highest view of Scripture.

The whole counsel of God concerning everything necessary for his glory, man's salvation, faith, and life is either expressly set down in Scripture or by good and necessary consequence may be deduced from it. Nothing, neither man’s tradition nor personal revelations, is to be added to Scripture. Nevertheless, we acknowledge the inward illumination of the Spirit of God is necessary for a saving understanding of what is revealed in the Word.Further, there are some circumstances concerning the worship of God and government of the church, which are common to human actions and administrations, and these are to be ordered by the light of nature and Christian wisdom according to the general rules of the Word, which are always to be observed.

~ 1689 London Baptist Confession: The Holy Scriptures 1.6

The final judge for the examination and judgment of all religious controversies, decrees of councils, opinions of ancient writers, doctrines of men, and private spirits can be no other than Holy Scripture delivered by the Spirit. Our faith must rest when Scripture speaks.

~ 1689 London Baptist Confession: The Holy Scriptures 1.10

We acknowledge the variety of interpretations that exist on the Spiritual Gifts - namely those who hold to a Pentecostal, Charismatic or Cessationist position. We consider most who affirm those positions to be faithful brothers and sisters in Christ, though they have simply arrived at different biblical conclusions. However, we acknowledge the possibility for some to be considered extreme and dangerous in their convictions and practice regarding the Spiritual Gifts (even to the point of abuse and/or leading others astray).

We provide a Church Directory which is a simple list of churches (or pastors) that affirm the doctrine of Continuationism.
